Unsung heroes

John Martin Nicholls with our Christian Aid team.

He was funny, he was challenging, he was prophetic and he sang and played well! More than 60 people enjoyed a visit from Exmouth-based but worldwide-working singer/songwriter John Martin Nicholl at St. Mary’s, Bridport, recently.

John’s ‘unsung heroes’ are people he has met in his role for Christian Aid. Ordinary people who have done extraordinary things for their community, transforming lives and bringing light and hope into a dark world.

There were delicious nibbles before the concert and during the interval, as well as an opportunity to buy resources to further the work of Christian Aid. It was really good evening that helped to raise the profile of the forgotten poor of our world and reminded us of the solid biblical roots of God’s call to ‘do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with your God’ (Micah 6.8)
