Unsung heroes

01 Mar

John Martin Nicholls with our Christian Aid team.

He was funny, he was challenging, he was prophetic and he sang and played well!    Over 60 people enjoyed a visit from Exmouth based but worldwide working singer/songwriter John Martin Nicholl at St. Mary’s, Bridport recently.  John’s ‘unsung heroes’ were people he has met in his role for Christian Aid.  Ordinary people who did extraordinary things for their community, transforming lives and bringing light and hope into a dark world.  There were delicious nibbles before the concert and during the interval and an opportunity to buy resources to further the work of Christian Aid.  A really good evening which served the purpose of raising the profile of the forgotten poor of our world and reminded us of the solid biblical roots of Gods call to ‘do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with your God’ (Micah 6.8)
