People flocked to three of our churches in the last week for summer fun and entertainment.
St. Swithun’s held its annual summer fair and was blessed with excellent weather and a large crowd of people. The St. Swithun’s band played as people munched cream teas and enjoyed playing on the stalls.
At St. Mary’s over a hundred people came to enjoy ‘Coffee and Jazz’ with Dan, Sue and Matt playing classics from the Great American Songbook. Over £350 was raised to support Good Books and Hopeful Hampers.
The threat of thunderstorms at Bothenhampton (see photo) didn’t stop folks enjoying the Dunorvaria Band, exhibitions from Bridport Dog Trainers, handbell ringers and once again superb cakes, teas and bargains on the bric-a-brac stall.
