Sweet bells, sweet Christmas bells ……
The folks who gather for the Xalt service sat down to a scrumptious High Tea after their most recent worship ‘Songs of Power and Praise for Advent’. We heard readings from the Old Testament as well as modern meditations and the Tale of Clem the Clumsy Camel! Many of the congregation are new to the Christian faith and the sense of community and family is really important. There were mountains of good things to eat and lashings of tea. And two of our happy band had ‘significant’ birthdays, each having a cake. As the combined number of candles would have been 140 we decided to just have a few each! Xalt is a very warm, friendly, relaxed worship twice a month at St. Mary’s. See the ‘drop-down’ worship for details of our next season which begins in January.
