Remembering loved ones we see no more.

Around this time the Team invites all those families who have lost loved ones during the year to a special service of thanksgiving and commemoration.  The first Christmas after the death of a friend or family member is especially poignant. The five candles in the foreground of the picture are lit for Love, Joy, Memories, Tears, Hope and Strength.  All who attend are invited to light their own candle as an act of remembrance as the names of those who have died during the year are read out,  118 during 2013.  At the very heart of what Christians believe is that our physical death is not the end but a transitional time as we return to the God in whose image we are created.  This gives to many great solace at times of loss.
