XALT is our Bridport Team service of praise and worship which has a relaxed, informal, contemporary and inclusive style. Children’s activities are provided with tea, coffee and cake available from 3.45 p.m. If you fancy some refreshments during the service no one minds if you get up and help yourself.
The Xalt Service (2nd & 4th Sundays of the month) is held in Church House, the hall next door to St Mary’s Bridport, South Street, Bridport DT6 3NW and is:
Spirit Led – Our worship seeks God’s empowerment through the Holy Spirit. Each service is rooted in prayer as we seek God’s will for us today.
Biblically Based – The bible is the foundation stone upon which our faith is based. It’s interpretation helps us to discern how to lead our lives as God would want us as we try to grow more Christ-centred and Christ-like.
Family Friendly – XALT uses modern language, worship songs and hymns and encourages a lot of involvement from the worshippers. Young families are especially welcome. A separate table of food is provided for children so that they may have their tea as part of the worship. Children have activities especially designed for them and NO ONE minds a child who wants to explore during worship.
Details of current themes are on the Xalt – St. Mary’s Facebook page.
