XALT Services used to take place in St Mary’s, Bridport, led and attended by Christians from across Bridport twice a month. Just before the nation-wide lockdown, the Bridport Team carried out a review to look at possibly reducing the frequency of XALT to monthly, however, some of the Xalt Team came up with an alternative plan to carry on twice a month by seeking a new base and, with the Bridport Team’s blessing, now operate from the United Church.

Then came lockdown, and plans unravelled a bit!

However, not wanting to wait until the pandemic was over, XALT rebranded, and now ‘Soul Space’ have been producing twice-monthly videos on YouTube.  It started with an Easter Celebration, moved on to a four-part series exploring the Book of Ruth and a series called ‘At the Feet of Jesus’ which looks at stories in the Gospel of people who fell, knelt or lay at the feet of Jesus. We have moved to the next stage, (since October 2020) a bit closer to live Services, i.e. ‘live screen’ the YouTube videos from the United Church.  Please use this opportunity to take part in this ecumenical venture – 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month … hopefully moving in due course to live services with (please God!) Singing!!
