We have the great privilege and freedom to be able to call upon God, wherever we are, individually and corporately, for healing in our nation and beyond, in particular Afghanistan during this very challenging time. We pray for all in leadership at this time. We pray for those making decisions about the containment of the COVID-19 virus; for those working in health and social care; and especially for the most vulnerable, whether elderly or those with underlying health conditions.

We hear of wonderful acts of kindness across our nation – and the same is true here in Bridport. Thank you to all in our community who are working  to support and care for others in this time of uncertainty.

Our mission: Loving God, loving neighbour

Bridport Team Ministry was formed 35 years ago from five separate adjoining parishes: Bridport with West Bay, Bradpole, Allington, Bothenhampton and Walditch. It now forms one single parish with five parish churches with their own District Church. Each of the churches makes its own distinctive contribution to the worship and work of the Church in the team area. The Bridport Team belongs to Churches Together in Bridport and District and, as a parish in the Diocese of Salisbury, seeks to play its part in the mission and ministry of God’s people in the town and area.

Churches in the Team have Mission Partners who work closely with the local congregation in their ministry and mission. The Team is also affiliated to Churches Together in Bridport and there is a special relationship between St Mary’s and the United Church. St Swithun’s and St. Catherine’s RC church also have a close relationship.

About Bridport
Bridport and its port at West Bay are noted for their history, scenery and year-round activities. The area is very popular with tourists, who enjoy the stunning scenery of the Jurassic Coast and the soft hills and woodlands around the Brit and Asker valleys. Locals work in the small light industries and businesses that have now largely replaced the rope and net-making that once dominated the economy.

Locals and visitors alike are welcome in our churches. You’re very welcome to come to a attend services of worship (when not in lockdown), join in with a home group or just drop in for a look around or a quiet prayer.
